A growing collection of kawaii-tech creatures — part toy, part machine, part something else entirely. One day, perhaps, collectable sculptures. For now: a bestiary in progress.

The one who started it all. Porcelain-white, endlessly patient, enthroned at the centre of a humming orb-machine congregation.

Arty — a dark bat-winged kawaii-tech creature with red eyes, perched on a candle-lit altar

Arty

Sweet Waffles' shadowy counterpart. Keeps the candles lit, the little skulls in order, and his own counsel.

Douglas — a black and white panda creature with a striped unicorn horn, among cereal-covered towers on pink

Douglas

Grew a horn one morning and has said nothing about it since. Presides over a landscape of sugar-frosted towers.

Soo — a white cat creature with blue eyes, orange stripes and a tall antenna, in a pastel city

No. 004

Soo

Receives something on that antenna. Won't say what. Stands very still in a city built to her scale.

Simon — a white bear creature with pink cheeks and a striped belly, surrounded by candy machines on bright blue

Simon

Rosy-cheeked, striped, and permanently delighted. Wears a sprinkle-crowned tower on his head like it's nothing.

About this project

This is a personal playground — a place to collect strange, friendly, slightly unsettling creatures as they come into being. Sweet Waffles arrived first; the others keep turning up. No shop, no product, just fun. If they ever become real sculptures, you read it here first.
